Earth Quakes Shake em and Bake em...
Sitting at my folks having birthday cake a 5.4 earthquake shook the house. Everyone seems to be safe but Rudy & Louise's house is in the Chino area and that appears to be the epicenter. Stay tuned for more info!

That's kind of a coincidence: a 5.4 earthquake on my 54th birthday!

Words from a good friend~~~

Great Words to live by... provided by my good friend, Robert E. Smith

If you always do, what you've always done,
you'll always get, what you've always got...

If what you are doing is not working,
try something else.

Touching Words Submitted by Steve Howard
A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year  old son waiting for him at the door.

SON: 'Daddy, may I ask you a question?'
DAD: 'Yeah sure, what it is?' replied the man.
SON: 'Daddy, how much do you make an hour?'
DAD: 'That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?' the  man said angrily.
SON: 'I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an  hour?'
DAD: 'If you must know, I make $50 an hour.'
SON: 'Oh,' the little boy replied, with his head down. Daddy, may I please borrow $25?'

The father was furious, 'If the only reason you asked that is so you
can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I don't work hard everyday for such childish  frivolities.' The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.

The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money? After  about an hour or so, the man had calmed down , and started to think:  Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $25.00 and he really didn't ask for money very often. The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door. 'Are you asleep, son?' He asked. 'No daddy, I'm awake,' replied the boy. 'I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier' said the man. 'It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $25 you asked for.' The little boy sat straight up, smiling. 'Oh, thank you daddy!' He yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills. The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father. 'Why do you want more money if you already have some?' the father grumbled. Because I didn't have enough, but now I do,' the little boy replied. 'Daddy, I have $50 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you.'

The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness.

This is just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life.
We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts.
Do remember to share that $50 worth of your time with someone you love.

If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of hours. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.

Kind and Caring Words.
Who said I'm not sensitive?
"Me and you is friends.
You smile, I smile
You hurt, I hurt
You cry, I cry
You jump off a bridge and I'm gonna miss your emails"...

B.S.

Some times all I can say is BS!
Most of us suffer from a serious overload of BS!

I beleive we all can make a difference in the lives of others. Please take 6 minutes of you life and watch and listen to this amazing story. It rocked me, and everyone I sent this to thanked me.

Don't let the negative BS in this world take over. Fight it with positive actions. You can make a difference!

Who Said This?

"You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away men's initiative and independence.
You cannot help men permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves."

A prayer we all need to hear and say...
Best Prayer I Have Read In A Long Time...

Heavenly Father, help us remember that the jerk who cut us off in traffic last night is a single mother who worked nine hours that day and is rushing home to cook dinner, help with homework, do the laundry and spend a few precious moments with her children.

Help us to remember that the pierced, tattooed, disinterested young man who can't make change correctly is a worried 19-year-old college student, balancing his apprehension over final exams with his fear of not getting his student loans for next semester.

Remind us, Lord, that the scary looking bum, begging for money in the same spot every day is a slave to addictions that we can only imagine in our worst nightmares .

Help us to remember that the old couple walking annoyingly slow through the store aisles and blocking our shopping progress are savoring this moment, knowing that, based on the biopsy report she got back last week, this will be the last year that they go shopping together.

Heavenly Father , remind us each day that, of all the gifts you give us, the greatest gift is love. It is not enough to share that love with those we hold dear. Open our hearts not to just those who are close to us, but to all humanity. Let us be slow to judge and quick to forgive, show patience, empathy and love.

A Gift For You All...
*   SLOW DANCE   *
A poem written by a teenager with cancer

HAVE YOU EVER WATCHED KIDS ON A MERRY-GO-ROUND?

OR LISTENED TO THE RAIN SLAPPING ON THE GROUND?
EVER FOLLOWED A BUTTERFLY'S ERRATIC FLIGHT?
OR GAZED AT THE SUN INTO THE FADING LIGHT?

YOU BETTER SLOW DOWN DON'T DANCE SO FAST
TIME IS SHORT THE MUSIC WON'T LAST

DO YOU RUN THROUGH EACH DAY ON THE FLY?
WHEN YOU ASK "HOW ARE YOU"? DO YOU HEAR THE REPLY?
WHEN THE DAY IS DONE DO YOU LIE IN YOUR BED
WITH THE NEXT HUNDRED CHORES RUNNING THROUGH YOUR HEAD?

YOU BETTER SLOW DOWN DON'T DANCE SO FAST
TIME IS SHORT THE MUSIC WON'T LAST

EVER TOLD YOUR CHILD WE'LL DO IT TOMORROW?
AND IN YOUR HASTE NOT SEE HIS SORROW?
EVER LOST TOUCH, LET A GOOD FRIENDSHIP DIE?
CAUSE YOU NEVER HAD TIME TO CALL AND SAY, "HI"

YOU BETTER SLOW DOWN DON'T DANCE SO FAST
TIME IS SHORT THE MUSIC WON'T LAST

WHEN YOU RUN SO FAST TO GET SOMEWHERE
YOU MISS HALF THE FUN OF GETTING THERE
WHEN YOU WORRY AND HURRY THOUGH YOUR DAY
IT'S LIKE AN UNOPENED GIFT THROWN AWAY.

LIFE IS NOT A RACE DO TAKE IT SLOWER
HEAR THE MUSIC BEFORE THE SONG IS OVER

Life Is Good!

After the Christening of his baby brother in church,
Jason sobbed all the way home in the back seat of the car.
His father asked him three times what was wrong. ?
Finally, the boy replied, "That preacher said he wanted us
brought up in a Christian home
...
 ...
and I wanted to stay with you guys."
Life is good!!!

Do you still have the E-ticket in your life?

Do you still have the E-ticket in your life?

The best rides at Disneyland used to require an E-Ticket. The A thru D tickets were for the wimpier or the less exciting rides... but that E-ticket (and there were only three or four in the book of tickets) was THE TICKET!!!
I'm sure most of you will remember these days.

Inspiring words

"Just make up your mind at the very outset, that your work is going to stand for quality·that you are going to stamp a superior quality upon everything that goes out of your hands, that whatever you do shall bear the hall-mark of excellence."

Where are YOUR Standards
This poignant quote comes from Robin Williams...

"If you're violating your standards faster than you can lower them, it's time to go away" or... you can look at it in a more positive way as Audrey said, "maybe it's time to wake up and do something about it."
Have a great day!
